Opportunities to Serve our Community & Beyond

Wallingford Works Wonders!

Wallingford Works Wonders is a group of volunteers in your community who have come together to help people with simple household tasks, onetime challenges, things that just won’t get done without someone’s help. Here are some of the things this group can tackle:

  • Painting jobs (minor)
  • Pet walking & care (on an emergency basis)
  • Rearranging furniture
  • Minor repairs
  • Technology assistance
  • Transporting household items to be given away
  • Window washing
  • Yard work

Please see the bulletin board in the narthex for a complete list.

Volunteers are pre-screened. Please call 203-269-2796 to arrange times assistance can be offered.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED for this program too. Wallingford Works Wonders is sponsored by The Wallingford Coalition for Unity which has been in our community for nearly 20 years.   They are seeking adult volunteers who are able to donate approximately four hours a month to help a resident in need. Days and hours are Thursday, Friday or Saturday, between 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. If interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities, please call Robby Robinson at 203-269-2796.

WINGS, will begin sponsoring a once a month collection of nonperishable foods for Master’s Manna.  On the last weekend of each month, a car will be parked under the portico for people to drop off their donations. Non-perishable goods only (please no glass jars) will be accepted. Watch weekly and monthly bulletins for reminders of the dates. Any questions, please contact Sue Cosgrove or Arlene Jens.

Birthright needs your help!

Birthright needs maternity clothing, and baby clothes,

Sizes preemie through and including 3T for their clients.  Gently used clean clothing is acceptable as well as new.

Nu to U Consignments was assisting us with gently used clothing.  They went out of business, so we lost a great supporter.  Diapers, coupons for diapers and baby items are also welcome😊 there is a container for coupons on the table in the Narthex.

If you wish to contribute there is a more complete list attached to the diaper box with suggested items in the foyer. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Any questions can be directed to Karen Perzanowski.
